THIS IS GOING OUT TO EVERYONE
I am trying to get prepared for all the end of the season Middle School Conference Tournaments, The KYMSFA Sate Playoffs and their All-Star Weekend, any JV/9th Conference Championship Day that we may have and the Special Olympics Flag Football State Championship (SPECIAL OLYMPICS DATE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO NOVEMBER 9TH)
HERE IS WHAT I NEED FOR YOU TO DO BY THIS WEEKEND. PLEASE LOOK AT ALL THE GAMES AND DATES THAT I HAVE LISTED BELOW. BLOCK ANY DATE THAT YOU ARE NOT AVAILABLE.
Issues that I will have in the KYMSFA State Playoffs:
I have the play-in and all but two First Round Games covered, but will not know how many October 19 Games that they will want me to cover until the games are completed this weekend. For the Regional Championship Round on October 26…they are going to try to send officials outside the local area. This means that I will probably have the games in Somerset and possibly Boyle County (if played there) The Semi-Finals and Finals will be played in Lexington, but I will not know how many other groups may be sending officials. Also the KYMSFA has their All-Star games on November 30 and December 1 at Bryan Station. SO PLEASE GO IN AND BLOCK ANY DATES THAT YOU ARE NOT AVAILABLE.
The Bluegrass Conference Championship will be Oct. 10 and I have already scheduled officials.
The Salt River Conference Championship will be Oct. 15 and I have already scheduled officials.
The Commonwealth Conference Championship was completed on Oct. 1st
Fayette County Playoffs will be;
October 30 – 2 sites with a 7th/8th Doubleheader at each site
November 7 – 2 sites with a 7th/8th Doubleheader at each site
November 14 – Championship Games 7th/8th
November 9, 2019 Special Olympics State Flag Football Championship: Games start at 9:00 there is a break for their ceremonies and the last games are scheduled for 5:00. They will be playing 4 games at the same time and scheduling is on the hour. If at all possible…please keep this date open and make yourself available to work a couple of games for these individuals. I will send out more info when I receive, and these will be scheduled through Arbiter.
KYMSFA 2019 Playoffs
Play in Games Round – Tuesday October 1st, Thursday October 4th, Saturday October 5th, 2019 (4- man officials crews) (The games this week have some flex on the date as many schools might be dealing with fall break. Goal is to have most games on Saturday Oct 5th if possible as it elevates are weekday travel time rule.
First Round Games – Saturday October 12, 2019 (potentially a few games may take place on Thursday October 4th due to fall break) (4- man officials crews)
Second Round Games – Saturday October 19, 2019 (4- man officiating crews)
Regional Championship Round – Saturday October 26, 2019 – The membership teams have asked if all possible to have out of region crews cover games in this round. (5 – man officiating crews)
With the Regional Championship Round we are trying to eliminate as much travel as possible for the teams so we have gone to more of a Pod format, rather than just having 4 games at 4 sites. So some sites could have 5 games, some just 1. My plan is to try and have a better idea of what games will be where after the October 5th games are played.
Current Regional Sites are:
McCracken Co or South Hopkins or Glasgow (going to depend on who is still playing and what locations are best at that time) 4 games
Bryan Station 4-5 games
Boyle Co or Madison Central 3-5 games
Somerset Meece 4-5 games
Belfry/Pikeville – 1 game (region 4 D3 Game)
Championship Weekend
Semi Finals Round – Saturday November 2, 2019 – Lexington Kentucky – 8 games to cover that day, each crew selected will get 2 games. (5 – man officiating crews)
Finals Round – Sunday November 3, 2019 – Lexington Kentucky – 4 games to cover that day, each crew selected will get 2 games. (5 – man officiating crews)
